Nice Places in Shanghai

Places are The Bund, Nan Jing RoadPeople's Square (Renmin Guang Chang).
Go up to the Pearl Tower.

SHANGHAI SHOPPING STREETS
Nanjing West Road: top end shopping malls, including Plaza 66, Shanghai Center & (new) City Plaza.

Huai Hai Road: The city’s main shopping street. Starts around Times Square shopping mall.

Xujiahui: Shopping malls galore & people galore to match. Even James Bond would have trouble getting around the swarms. Try Pacific Mall.

XINTIANDI
A must-see on any tourist’s itinerary. This outdoor section of “shikumen” (1920’s – 1930’s Shanghai style houses) was completely rebuilt in 2000 -1 and has become a complex of shops, restaurants and bars. It is all a bit too new looking, but the architecture can inspire one’s imagination of Shanghai’s glamorous past. Xintiandi is often packed with tourists and is home to some of Shanghai’s best restaurants. We like:
Ye Shanghai, Crystal Jade, Kabb, Va Bene, Simply Thai and T8.

Art Galleries and Museums in Shanghai
Shanghai has a thirving art scene, with several good art museums and a few world-class art galleries. If you appreciate art, these venues are well worth visiting. Shanghai also has a lot of low quality art, and you can find copies of the most famous Chinese contemporary artists' works on sale at markets around Shanghai.

Shanghai's restaurant scene is ever-changing and exciting. Lots of new restaurants keep popping up all over the Shanghai. Even Pudong now has more and more restaurants. It's sometimes tough to keep up with all the latest places.

We have selected some of the best restaurants that should be "in" for years to come. These are some of the most exceptional and special restaurants in Shanghai.
